At Root & Ember, every hamper is carefully prepared, packed and sent with the same attention to detail we bring to our shop in Clifton. Below you’ll find everything you need to know about shipping, delivery, and returns.
Once your order has been dispatched, you’ll receive an email confirming it’s on its way, including tracking details from our trusted courier. You’ll also be notified once the parcel has been successfully delivered.
If you’ve created an account with us, you can track the progress of your order from within your account dashboard.
Please check your spam folder if you haven’t received a confirmation email, or verify that the recipient hasn’t already received the hamper – sometimes an incorrect email address at checkout may prevent our updates from reaching you.
If you’ve included a gift message via text or email, this will be sent to the recipient at the point of delivery.
UK delivery is included with all hamper purchases. Orders typically arrive within 2–3 working days, though delivery may take slightly longer during peak seasons.
For non-hamper items, delivery charges will be calculated at checkout and are based on weight and shipping location. Standard delivery is also 2–3 working days.
If you’ve ordered more than one hamper, they may arrive as separate parcels.
If you choose to include a gift message, your note will be printed on a plain card and placed carefully inside the hamper.
If you need to cancel your order, please email us at info@rootandember.com within 15 minutes of placing it. Include your order number so we can act quickly.
We’ll do our best to cancel your order before it’s processed. However, if it has already been dispatched, it can only be returned once delivered, via our returns process. Please note: hampers containing perishable items (e.g. cheese) are not eligible for return.
Mistakes happen – if you need to make a change, email info@rootandember.com within 15 minutes of placing your order. Our team is available 9am–5pm, Monday to Friday.
If your order has already been packed or dispatched, unfortunately, we’re unable to amend it.
We want every delivery from Root & Ember to be enjoyed, but if something isn’t right, please contact us within 14 days of delivery to arrange a return.
Refunds or replacements can be issued provided:
Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns for hampers containing fresh produce or chilled items.

To ensure items arrive safely and in excellent condition, all hampers are packed to a fixed layout. For this reason, we’re unable to modify hamper contents or swap out individual products when purchased online. For a fully customised hamper please visit our store.
