No. 3 Bruton Place, Clifton
Our Story
Root & Ember is a delicatessen in Clifton village, run by a mother-and-son duo.
We smoke and cure our own fish and meat in the kitchen downstairs, and fill the shop upstairs with produce from local suppliers we want to champion.

The family
Jane & Freddie
Jane and Freddie Jago are the mother-and-son duo behind Root & Ember.
They’re passionate about championing local suppliers and their produce — alongside the food they smoke and cure themselves, on site.
Freddie is the Head Smoker.
